Bobbie McGrath is known in the staging industry as the “Occupied Consultation Specialist® “ After consulting and/or staging over 8,000 properties since 2004 she has experienced a lot of what goes on when stagers enter that front door!

Recognized as One of the Top Most Influential People in Real Estate Staging in 2018 and 2019, and three times being voted by her peers as one of RESA’s™ Top Ten Occupied Home Stagers in America, Bobbie has recently transitioned her years of experience in a new direction: educating Realtors and fellow home stagers. Her focus? Building strong communication skills that brand your business, and you, as an industry expert. Whether you have aspirations of building a multi-city operation or prefer to work alone, this is one ability that serves us all well.

Bobbie explains her journey of how she found herself where she is today: “After ten years of providing both sides of the business (vacant and occupied) I realized the occupied home sellers didn’t seem to be receiving the same level of attention as the vacant side was receiving. While I loved creating magazine-quality homes through the vacant staging process I realized most folks live in their home when it enters the market, own a twenty-year-old sofa and simply can’t afford to repaint their whole house before putting it up for sale. What could I do to help them enter the market as strong as possible? That’s when I made the active decision to turn all of my attention to the occupied side of the business!”

With a different perspective, Bobbie set out to find out why people chose not to stage their property, why Realtors would not broach the idea of staging with their clients and why there were so many misunderstandings of what the staging process could actually do for a home seller.

The common thread? Miscommunication. Miscommunication about what we do, how we do it, and the biggest hurdle of all, what it should cost.

After years of trial and error (she should write a book about the “errors”…in fact, she just might!) Bobbie started to systematize the most effective techniques she field-tested out in the real world of homes for sale. Over time she developed a very efficient, practical, and effective approach that created exceptional results.

Her method is best reflected in her “Occupied Consultation Specialist® and her free online course, “Changing the Shape of Your Words”. Bobbie also provides private coaching services with a focus on solopreneur just like her. Built upon the foundation
